The OEM Sheffield DZ400 is a vertical chamber vacuum packing machine with double-sided sealing, a step up from the bench-top DZ300 in both sealing width and build. It is aimed at butchery, fish handling and food production where vacuum packing is a daily task rather than an occasional one.

Double-sided sealing is the practical difference: bags are sealed on both bars in the same cycle, so two packs can be run at once or a single bag double-sealed for a more secure closure. The sealing bar is 400 mm, taking wider bags than the DZ300's 300 mm, and the vacuum pump is rated at 900 W.

Settings are made on a digital touch control panel. The inner chamber is stainless steel 304 and the body SS201, and the machine runs on a 220 V 50 Hz supply. At 80 kg net it is a floor-standing machine, not something moved between benches.
