This root vegetable cutting machine is a floor-standing prep machine for kitchens and food processing plants that get through vegetables in volume. Potatoes, radishes, sweet potatoes, melons, bamboo shoots, onions and aubergines are fed in through the bowl hopper and come out as oblique slices, corrugated slices, strips, shreds or dice.

The cut is set by the disc fitted behind the hinged cover: slices from 2 to 20 mm, shreds from 2 to 10 mm, and dice at 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20 mm. The body is 304 stainless steel throughout. A 0.75 kW (1 hp) motor drives it from a 220-240 V 50 Hz single-phase supply, drawing roughly 3.4 A - well within an ordinary 13 A socket. Throughput of 300-600 kg an hour depends on the disc fitted and on how steadily the hopper is fed.
