The HK-Redline DR-1 is a mobile plate warmer holding a single column of up to 75 plates. It is the cart that keeps a banquet or buffet service running: plates come out of it warm at the point of plating, so food does not lose its heat to a cold plate on the way to the table.

The holder takes plates up to 12 inches in diameter and holds them at around 45 °C — warm to handle rather than hot, so service staff can pick them up bare-handed. Four wheels make it a cart rather than a fixture, which is the point for banqueting: load it in the kitchen, wheel it to the function room.

Side panels are food-grade stainless steel in a satin finish, with a heat-resistant handle. It draws 0.4 kW on a 220-250 V 50 Hz supply and weighs 31 kg empty, measuring 450 × 485 × 770 mm.
