An insulated filter coffee brewer that brews decoction through an integrated filter into a 3 litre stainless steel body and then holds it at serving temperature on an 800 W heater, rather than stewing it on an open hotplate.
It suits canteens, offices, tea rooms and South Indian filter coffee service, where coffee is made in batches and drawn off over a couple of hours. Because the body is insulated, the heater works against a much smaller heat loss, so the coffee holds its character for longer than it would in an uninsulated pot.
